Trinity in The Sunday Times - Principality launches a 1.99% buy-to-let mortgage

Principality Building Society has launched one of the lowest ever buy-to-let mortgage rates at 1.99%. This mortgage is a two-year rate capped at 1.49% above the Bank of England base rate. It has a 2.5% arrangement fee and a £99 booking fee. It is highly unusual for a lender to offer a sub-2% buy-to-let rate and this mortgage shows how keen the lenders are to attract more landlords by offering the lowest deals. Principality requires borrowers to put down a 40% deposit and the maximum loan size is £250,000. Over the past few years the building societies have had the cheapest rates and lowest fees, but the bigger banks are fighting back with better deals. NatWest for Intermediaries and Santander offer many of the lowest buy-to-let mortgages. If you would like help to secure a buy-to-let mortgage, call us on 020 7016 0790. November 21, 2013
