NatWest says to complain to RICS if you have a down-valuation
NatWest has advised brokers to complain directly to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in most cases if a property is down-valued.
Trinity Financial told the Financial Times that most mortgage lenders allow borrowers to question a down-valuation, and they don't expect appeals to go directly through RICS.
Normally, if you have a down valuation it is possible to appeal the decision by providing comparable evidence, although the success rate is often very limited.
