Metro Bank add Vets and Dentists to Professional 5.5x salary mortgage range
Metro Bank has added Vets and Dentists to its list of acceptable professions to qualify for its 5.5 times salary mortgages.
The bank normally provides 4.5 times salary mortgages to borrowers but increases the multiple to 5.5 times salary for selected Professionals purchasing a property.
The Professional product range is available to fully qualified, registered and practicing Solicitors, Barristers, Medical Doctors, Accountants, Actuaries, Vets and Dentists.
Applicants must have qualified in the last ten years and work in their related profession. They will also need to be registered with the appropriate UK body. For example, Doctors must be registered with the General Medical Council.
Aaron Strutt, product director at Trinity Financial, says: “Metro Bank will consider applications for up to two borrowers on these products and at least one applicant must meet the Professional criteria.
“If you opt for a 5.5 times salary mortgage with Metro Bank you will have to take one of the five-year fixed rate products. If you are looking for a shorter-term fixed or a tracker rate, you may want to apply to another lender offering similar terms.”
