Halifax completes over 1,000 Help to Buy 2 mortgages
Halifax has completed over one thousand Help to Buy mortgages since it entered this market nearly four months ago.
Between October and the end of January the lender received over 5,000 applications through the scheme totalling £791m.
Even though Halifax is one of the more popular Help to Buy lenders, Santander and NatWest for Intermediaries offer more competitively priced mortgages.
If you have a 5% deposit Santander has a low two-year fixed rate at 4.99% and it does not have an arrangement fee. The APR is 4.9%.
