Buying a house together is a bigger commitment than getting married for 25 - 34 year olds
Research by Halifax shows that 28% of 25-34 year olds in the UK believe that buying a house with someone is a bigger commitment than getting married. Halifax also says that there is a difference between the ages when it comes to homebuying with partners - as only around one in four (28%) 25-34 year olds were married when they bought their home with their partner, compared to nearly three in four (73%) 35-44 year olds.
In a separate research, Skipton Financial Services says that the average British family now needs £24,801.51 a year - just to break even.
