BoE base rate stays at 0.5% and QE remains at £325 billion
The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee has voted to maintain base rate at 0.5% for the 39th consecutive month. The committee also kept quantitative easing at £325 billion.
The European Central Bank has left the base rate on hold at 1% for the seventh consecutive month. Although, China has cut its benchmark lending rate by 0.25% for the first time in nearly four years. June 8, 2012
