Barclays offering 1.69% two-year fix for mortgages up to £3 million
Barclays is offering its lowest two-year fixed rate for mortgages between £500,000 and £3 million.
The banks large loan rate was previously 1.78% but it has been lowered to an impressive 1.69%. It has a £1,999 arrangement fee and in order to qualify borrowers will need a 35% deposit.
Aaron Strutt, product manager at Trinity Financial, says: "The biggest banks are looking to lend more money and Barclays has also lowered its large loan five-year fix by 0.36%.
"It is quite incredible that Barclays are offering such large loan mortgages well below 2%."
At the end of the tracker period, the mortgage reverts to 3.49% over the Barclays base rate, currently 3.99%. The overall cost for comparison in 3.7% APR.
The lender provides a free property valuation and legals service for borrowers looking to switch banks, keeping remortgage costs to a minimum.
