Another lender offers a sub 2% fixed rate mortgage
Leeds Building Society has launched a 1.99% two-year fixed rate mortgage available to borrowers with a 25% deposit. This mortgage has a £1,999 arrangement fee and the APR is 5.2%. The reversion rate after the two-years is 5.69% and the maximum loan size is £500,000.
There are approximately 23 mortgage lenders offering sub 2% mortgages and NatWest for Intermediaries' has one of the lowest two-year fixes at 1.94%.
This mortgage has a more standard arrangement fee at £995 and the lender requires a 40% deposit. The maximum loan size is £1.5 million. After the fixed rate expires, the mortgage reverts to NatWest's standard variable rate at 4%. The APR is 3.9%.
