300,000 Brits now have homes worth £1 million or more
More than 300,000 people in Britain own a house worth over £1 million after a 19% increase last year, a new study from Zoopla.co.uk suggests.
The number of property millionaires in Britain increased by 47,024 to 300,142 during 2012. London, which has received strong demand from overseas buyers looking for a safe investment away from the troubles of the Eurozone, has by far the highest number of property millionaires - 182,583 or 64% of the total.
