The Times - Bricks and Mortar - Property purchases hit by longer delays

Aaron Strutt Image
Aaron Strutt, a mortgage broker at Trinity Financial, told The Times that the time it takes to process applications can vary dramatically from one lender to another. The article highlights that Trinity were able to produce one mortgage offer in four days and that lenders offering rock-bottom rates will sometimes be slower as they struggle to cope with high demand. Nationwide Building Society publishes its average times from application to offer on its website; it is currently processing applications in about 22 days. Trinity add: “As a way to ensure as many questions as possible are answered early on, we provide lenders with the information we expect them to ask, even if they do not initially request it.” Click here to view the full story: http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/life/property/article3565074.ece £ October 12, 2012
