The Times - One in five freelancers in panic over mortgage
As many as one million self-employed people fear they will not be able to secure a mortgage, according to an analysis which calls for an overhaul of lending rules.
Aaron Strutt, of Trinity Financial, told The Times that many freelancers simply assumed the right deals were not there, but added that choice was improving. “If you’ve got one year’s accounts, you can actually try some of the bigger banks, such as the Halifax, where you can get good rates.”
