The Times - Lenders lure us in with cashback offers

Mortgage lenders are offering hundreds of pounds in cashback as part of their mortgage offers.

There are 1,202 cashback mortgages available compared to 939 products in May last year, according to data research from Moneyfacts.

Aaron Strutt of Trinity Financial, told The Times the most generous incentives are for first-time buyers. Furness building society is offering first-timers £1,500 on a 95 per cent loan-to-value mortgage through brokers.
