The Times - Investec will replace SVRs with base-rate tracker system when new fixed-interest deals expire
Investec Bank has come up with an alternative financial model to stop mortgage customers from lapsing on to its expensive standard variable rate (SVR). The bank says it will automatically switch customers on to its base-rate tracker rate.
