Mortgage deals at 4pc or lower could soon disappear from the market as lenders start upping rates once again.
It raises the question as to whether borrowers due to remortgage soon should fix now.
Aaron Strutt of broker Trinity Financial said: “When you see HSBC increasing its rates, you know it’s only a matter of time before another lender does the same.”
