The Telegraph - Best fixed rate mortgages: two, three, five and 10 years
Mortgage rates are plummeting as lenders battle it out for a spot in the best-buy tables, pushing rates to record lows.
Aaron Strutt, of brokerage Trinity Financial, told The Telegraph: "Some of the lenders we are speaking to expect rates to get even cheaper.
"It is difficult to see how the very lowest two-year fixes can get much cheaper, but they are edging closer to the 1pc mark. This will be the next milestone and I wouldn’t bet against it happening soon."
