The Sunday Times - Help to Buy mortgages shrink
The size of loans secured through the Help to Buy mortgage guarantee scheme has fallen by 7% since the end of last year, figures from a leading lender reveal.
Aaron Strutt of the mortgage broker Trinity Financial said: “It is not surprising that more applications have come from the southeast, as the average loan amount is the highest in that region.”
