HOMEOWNERS face the toughest fight to secure a mortgage in two years as a survey of lenders released last week revealed that banks are preparing to raise rates and tighten criteria for new borrowers in the next three months.
Aaron Strutt of Trinity Financial, the broker, said. “Moving house or job can have an impact. Missing a payment for a debt or mobile contract causes even bigger damage.”
