The Sunday Times - Borrowers hit as deals dry up
Lenders raced to withdraw competitive fixed-rate mortgages last week just as households were urged to prepare for a rise in borrowing costs in the coming months.
Borrowers still weighing up their options could try to reserve the best deal available. However, Aaron Strutt, of Trinity Financial said: “You will need to pay a booking fee and go through the process of getting an agreement in principle from the lender, which is not easy at the moment.”
