The Sunday Times - Couples committing to their future with a 10-year fix mortgage
The Sunday Times reports more borrowers are choosing to lock into ten-year fixed rate mortgages, with 85 ten-year products available through the banks and building societies.
Aaron Strutt of Trinity Financial told The Sunday Times: “Lenders have been really pushing their 10-year fixes and they offer great value for money for more risk-averse borrowers.
“Many like the security and do not want to remortgage every couple of years. One client recently took a 10-year fix because he liked the idea of long-term stability and thought the fixed costs would be a good way to protect his family against future rate increases.”
