The Sunday Times - Brexit fuels demand for longer fixed-rate mortgages

One of Britain’s biggest lenders has said the Brexit delay has led borrowers to demand longer-term mortgage fixes.

Aaron Strutt, of the broker Trinity Financial, told The Sunday Times: “We’ve had a really busy start to the year. People aren’t going to put their lives on hold because MPs can’t make a decision. Brexit has got a lot to do with borrowers wanting to fix for longer, but people also want to know they don’t need to worry about remortgaging, especially if they will be in the family home for a few years.”
