The Sunday Times - Lending options narrow for bank of Mum and Dad

First-time buyers will see their options narrow as banks cut back on mortgage deals that allow parents to support loan applications. Aaron Strutt of the broker Trinity Financial said: “It is a shame that another bank has taken away the deals, especially when so many parents are trying to help children get onto the property ladder. “It is a surprise that so few guarantor mortgages are available, as the criteria are stricter and there is more pressure on the children to make sure the mortgage is repaid, which minimises the risks of a default.” Click here to view Trinity Financial in The Sunday Times £ We are not responsible for the accuracy of the information contained within the linked sites accessible from this page.
