Homebuyers are being warned to watch out for rising fees on low-deposit mortgages and catches attached to some of the eye-catching freebies on offer. Aaron Strutt of the broker Trinity Financial told The Sunday Times: “A few lenders are charging first-time buyers over £1,500 to access their best buys, and this seems to give other lenders the green light to charge more for low-deposit mortgages. Not everyone can get a high street mortgage as criteria remain very strict, especially for small deposits. Strutt at Trinity Financial said: “It is difficult to qualify for 5%-deposit mortgages. There could be as few as four borrowers in 10 being accepted for these mortgages.” Click here to view the full story in The Sunday Times £ We are not responsible for the accuracy of the information contained within the linked sites accessible from this page.
