Skipton Building Society has cut selected two, three and five-year fixed rates by up to 0.4 per cent.

The biggest rate reduction is to a two-year fix available to 60 per cent LTV, down 40 basis points from 2.99 per cent to 2.59, with no fee attached.

Trinity Financial product and communications manager Aaron Strutt says: “Many of the mortgage lenders are increasing their rates at the moment so this is a welcome change. Even when taking the recent rate hikes into account most of the lenders still offer great deals.”
